The Great Lock In ("The Great Lock In," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use The Great Lock In mobile or web applications, websites, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), how we use that information, and the choices available to you. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
When you use the Service you may provide:
- Account and Profile Details: Name or nickname, age band, gender selection (including optional custom gender text), and motivation statements supplied during onboarding.
- Lifestyle and Habit Data: Life satisfaction rating, reasons for joining, daily reflections, motivation notes, addictions or distractions you choose to track, estimated distraction hours, hourly value estimates, wake time, reading or workout or meditation or journaling frequency, and other check-in inputs recorded through onboarding and dashboard screens.
- Daily Progress Data: Rule completion status, streak count, and calendar dates that you mark as complete.
- Voluntary Signature: If you draw a commitment signature, it remains in memory for that session and is not persisted when you navigate away.
- Support Messages: Emails or in‑app feedback you send to us.
- Subscription and Billing Metadata: When you subscribe through Apple or Google, RevenueCat (our subscription management partner) provides us with entitlement status, product identifiers, transaction dates, and related metadata. We never receive full payment card numbers.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device and Diagnostic Data: Device model, operating system version, app version, preferred language, time zone, and general logs generated by the app runtime. This information stays on the device unless you share diagnostics with us for troubleshooting.
- Usage Data: Within the app we record habit selections, streak progress, and scoring calculations to show you insights. These values are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage and are not automatically transmitted to our servers.
- Approximate Location: We do not request precise GPS location. App stores and RevenueCat may derive approximate location from IP address for compliance and offer localization.
- Push Notification Status: When you opt in to reminders we request notification permissions from Expo or Apple or Google. We may store the resulting permission flag. We do not currently store or transmit device push tokens.
1.3 Information from Third Parties
- App Stores: Apple App Store and Google Play provide purchase receipts, refund notices, and anonymized analytics required to operate subscriptions.
- RevenueCat: Supplies entitlement status, subscriber identifiers, and receipt details so we can determine whether premium access is active.
- Expo Services: If you enable notifications, Expo may process notification delivery on our behalf.
