Privacy Policy for GhostScan

GhostScan is a mobile application designed to help users gain emotional clarity after being ghosted or ignored. Users upload screenshots of conversations or describe their situation in text form. These inputs are analyzed using artificial intelligence (AI) powered by OpenAI’s API.

1. Subscription Access Only

GhostScan is a subscription-based app with a hard paywall. Users must subscribe via Apple’s In-App Purchase system to access any functionality. We do not offer a free trial or access to app features without an active subscription.

2. No User Accounts or Login

We do not require users to create an account, log in, or provide personal information. All app functionality is available immediately after subscribing.

3. Screenshot and Input Handling

GhostScan allows users to upload screenshots or enter text for analysis. This data is:

• Sent securely to OpenAI’s API for immediate processing
• Not saved or stored by GhostScan
• Not accessible to GhostScan or its developers at any point

We do not log, monitor, or have access to the contents of the uploaded screenshots or user inputs.

4. Use of OpenAI

We use OpenAI’s API to generate closure insights based on user-submitted content. OpenAI does not use submitted content for training when accessed through its API. You can read OpenAI’s privacy policy at: https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy

5. In-App Purchases and RevenueCat

All payments and subscriptions are managed through Apple’s App Store and RevenueCat. GhostScan does not store any payment or billing information. RevenueCat is used only to determine subscription status.

6. Restore Purchases

Users may restore their subscription on a new device using the “Restore Purchase” option. Subscription status is verified through Apple and RevenueCat.
